Evaluation plan:
A self-reporting check lists will be developed and included in the volunteer handbook. listing safe practices (i.e. first aid kit is on hand, emergency numbers are posted, an evacuation plan is in place, EMT's are available at horse show, etc.), another check list will evaluate practices that ensure emotional well being, such things as bullying, peer pressure, etc. Tools will encompass all aspects of physical and emotional safety.
Volunteers report adoption of inclusive practices and demonstrate tolerance, respectful attitudes and non-discriminatory behavior.
• Year 3 - A self-reporting check list will be developed and included in Annual Group Activity Report.
• Year 2 &5 - Focus group questions will be asked of 4-H staff - asking them about the inclusive practices they promote and use with their volunteers and camp staff.
